Job Summary
The GBV Legal Rights Volunteer will be responsible for provision of psychosocial first aid support to GBV survivors & persons at risk. He/she will ensure complete care and treatment of GBV survivors through referrals to Case Workers for further case management.
Duties And Responsibilities
Undertaking legal research, supporting the development of legal information and assisting in advising clients;
Supporting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution;
Assisting in preparing matters for court, including by compiling relevant information, assisting in drafting different types of notices, interviewing clients and witnesses and liaising with them in relation to court dates and hearings;
Taking notes in court and assisting with record-keeping and reporting
Preparing any documentation required for court
Supporting the maintenance of court diary and the operation of the Worker’s Legal Aid Cell
